1. Identify two Pinterest brand pages. Identify how they use Pinterest marketing tools described in this chapter. Are there some tools they are not using? What recommendations can you make for these sites to improve their Pinterest marketing campaigns?
The two brand pages are Sephora and Zinga. It uses Pinterest to market its products by showing different new products and the ratings of the user. When a Pinterest user pins a product that they like it then is shared to their followers thus it increases the amount of people that see their products.Sephora also has its website, they advertise and have their direct link to their website. Zinga’s also has a Pinterest brand page. Both pages use theme-based boards, promoted pins, and network with users and followers. Zinga does not have a URL link to stores or pin as display ad.Both also have where you can pin to certain boards and share with other users. Sephora is using the marketing tools on Pinterest very well. Zinga’s could improve by adding a URL link to where users can purchase their product.
2. Visit your Facebook page and examine the ads shown in the right margin. What is being advertised and how to do believe that it is relevant to your interests or online behavior? Make a list of ads appearing in your News Feed. Are these ads appropriately targeted to you in terms of your demographics, interests, and past purchases? Go to at least two web sites and like it or like a product. In the next 24 hours, do you see marketing messages on Facebook related to your likes?
The things I see on the right margin of my facebook are the adds of ebay, bestbuy, google and amazone. These were the sites I visited the most. Sometimes I go to fossil.com where I see different kinds of watch. I can see the same watch on my facebook. I think it is a way of telling people to come back and buy that product. When I open my facebook, the advertisement I see seems like they are telling us to buy the product. The more I see, the more I want to buy the same product. It is a nice way to get people's attraction.
