Welcome, Here we will go over the evolution of scurity protocols and why they are important, They are often forgotten about, but hopefully the video and website that I have created will help you learn what they are all about.

Security Protocol technology is something that most people never think of. However, without it society would not be able to function the way it does now. With no security protocols, say goodbye to working from home or being confident with online spending. Heck, you might not even be able to watch some of your favorite shows.

Security Protocol

A sequence of operations that ensure the protection of data, often done through a cryptographic or encryption protocol.


TCP or (Transmission Control Protocol) defines how we establish and maintain a network connection to exchange data. It works with IP (Internet protocol) which defines how computers send packets of data to each other. Together they create the basic rules and needs for the internet. TCP is maintained until all the data is finished sending back and forth between the client and sender.


A firewall is a networked security software or hardware that regulates what comes into your computer. If can chose to either accept or reject a transmitted piece of information based on a predetermined set of security rules.


Transport Layer Security (TLS) is a common security protocol that is used to facilitate the transfer of data securely and privately. It uses encryption technology to ensure secure connection between web applications and servers and is a staple in e-commerce technology.


Virtual Private Networks (VPNs) are designed to give you online anonymity by giving you a private network even when using a public connection. A VPN will hide your IP address so you can search the web without your exact location or identity being traced. This helps with keeping files secure for corporations if their workers are working on the go.
