1.       Raster based graphics use colours to fill in pixels to create an image as opposed to vector based graphics which use a vector system like an x and y grid.

2.       The primary advantage of vector graphics is the sharpness of the image.

3.       A path is a line that makes up a vector object. A closed path is a path with no distinct beginning or end, (a circle, square, other closed off shape). An open path is a path with a distinct beginning and end, (a line).

4.       An anchor point is a point defining the beginning or end of a segment along a path. An endpoint is a beginning or end anchor point on a path. A corner point is an anchor point along a vector path where the direction changes. A smooth point is an anchor point along a vector curve.

5.       Handles are used to shape curves on a path. They can change the shape of circular lines.

6.       An endpoint is a beginning or end anchor point on a path. A corner point is an anchor point along a vector path where the direction changes. A smooth point is an anchor point along a vector curve.

7.       Objects are what are created with the vector lines.

8.       A bounding box is an outline around a selected vector object that can be used to transform the object.

9.       A selection tool will select an object as a whole while a direct selection tool will allow to select just the image.
