CH11 Projects: Question 4

I decided to compare to Facebook.

The major difference is that Mastodon is a decentralized platform. No company or entity has control over Mastodon, anyone can create and run their own server of Mastodon with their own set of rules. Also, it does not offer games or different buy/sell groups where users can post stuff for sale.

Mastodon is an open source social network like Facebook. You can create a profile and post images, videos, and messages on your timeline/feed. Another similarity is that users can message each other privately.

I prefer to use Facebook over Mastodon because it simpler to use and there are a lot more features to it. User interaction is much better and more fun.
