With this mentality, it makes sense for them to focus on the platform that most of its users use daily. With society pushing instant gratification, Pinterest is suited to take advantage of this through the smartphone interface, especially with cellphone cameras.

Pinterest has a Pin It button on its toolbar. This feature allows users to pin images to their page without regard for the original content owner. By not ensuring that proper copyright laws are enforced, Pinterest is creating its own copyright infringement issues.

Describe some of the technological, business, and societal shifts that may occur as the Internet continues to grow and expand. Prepare a brief presentation or written report to explain your vision of what e-commerce will look like in 2023.

I think e-commerce will continue to grow in the peer-to-peer market. Support for this view comes from the increasing number of people that want to get back to the source of many of their products. This can be seen by the volume of small farms and off-grid homesteads that are starting. These businesses are looking for an outlet for their products. They have a better marketplace in e-commerce when considering customer base and product value. Combining the e-market place with YouTube, I would argue for the shift to more local and controlled food marketing. While I think there will be impacts in other segments as well, the food industry is where I feel the largest changes will come.

Companies are using Instagram in several ways to promote traffic to the websites and demand for their brands. One way that companies drive interest in their brand is through telling a story through bulk uploading to tell a story. Another way many companies are using Instagram is through getting customers involved with them and their products by challenges such as posting your own #moment involving the brand. Fresh and new images to associate with the company and its brand is yet another way to entice consumers to get involved. Yet another method used on Instagram is through traffic direction in the caption despite not having a direct link. These are several ways that companies are using to either directly use Instagram as a marketing platform link or indirectly through brand association with images of achievements or stories of success.
